Skin rejuvenation therapy (also known as photo rejuvenation therapy) is an exciting breakthrough in skin treatment technology which allows you to say goodbye to problem skin and is now available at Skyline Skin Clinic.

By treating a variety of skin conditions with one simple treatment, its easy to see why Skin Rejuvenation Therapy is often considered the most effective cosmetic skin treatment available today.

This non-abrasive, non-invasive technology can treat numerous skin blemishes at once and provides dramatic results for a variety of conditions. It is designed to produce younger and healthier looking skin by removing unwanted skin imperfections. Examples of where the treatments are useful include:

Sun Damage and Ageing
  • Skin that displays fine wrinkling or irregular pigmentation from chronic sun exposure is visibly improved after a series of treatments (usually 2 to 5). Fine wrinkles show an average improvement of 15-25% after 5 treatments.

Pigmentation Problems
  • Brown age spots, miasma, and coarse or “rough appearing” skin with large pores are very amenable to rejuvenation treatment. Patients with these skin types generally experience smoother, softer skin with a visible reduction in pores after undertaking a rejuvenation program involving usually 2 to 5 visits. Pore size improves on average by 50% or more.

Rosacea
  • Patients with active inflammatory rosacea generally experience a considerable improvement in their symptoms after a number of rejuvenation treatments (usually 2 to 4). Most patients are then able to decrease or discontinue other treatments for the condition; an improvement of about 50% or more being a common outcome.

Acne Scarring
  • Skin rejuvenation treatments are effective in reducing the erythema and post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation of acne scarring as well as helping to dry up any existing active acne. This is essentially a maintenance program and normally involves 2 to 6 treatments.

Birthmarks
  • A program of treatments can often provide a long lasting solution for those suffering from unsightly birthmarks. The number of visits involved depends on the nature and extent of the blemishes to be treated.

What to Expect

Our consultants determine an IPL treatment plan for each new patient by taking into account the number and severity of the skin conditions involved, as well as skin type. On average 2 to 6 treatments are recommended and scheduled at three week intervals. Each session usually lasts about 20 minutes with patients returning to normal activity immediately afterwards.

Examples of the types of outcomes that can be achieved are shown below:
